Benefits

Fairtrade makes it possible for cacao farmers to lead a better life because they pay them a minimum price for their products. Cacao farmers who work with Fairtrade aren’t allowed to let children or slaves work for them. Because of that Fairtrade fights successful against child labour and forced labour. The villages in which the farmers live also get a premium from fairtrade, so they can build schools, get better health services and a better infrastructure. With the premium the farmers are also supported to produce organic products.
