Rain and cold – Well known weather conditions in Dublin
A perfect stay should include warm temperatures and not a lot of rain. Those two conditions are hardly ever fulfilled by the monthly temperature and rainfall in Dublin. Looking at the temperature graph it is noticeable that only during half of the year the temperature rises over 10 degrees and the rainfall which is shown in a table is quite high. The table offers information about the rainfall in the last 10 years as well as in 2011 and 2012. Especially in 2012 the numbers are extremely high.
Finding the perfect time for the trip
Looking at the temperature summer is of course the best time for a trip to Dublin. In July and August temperature can reach over 15 degrees which is a quite seldom warmth in Ireland. But not only our school holidays speak against this two months, according to the table July was head of the lost in 2012 and looking at the last ten yeas August shows the second highest rainfall.
The best month for our visit is May. Not only has the rainfall which isn’t significantly bad reasoned my decision but especially the temperature which increases markedly between April and May.
Perfect preparation
Even though May turned out to be a month with quite good conditions clothes which help to protect us from rain as well as a small umbrella should be in ever y pupils rucksack and everyone should be aware of the fact that compared to Vienna May is colder in Dublin than most of us would expect.
